Production Diary 24/02/12

After recieving audience feedbakc on my music video draft from a variety of people, I have decicded to make some changes. It was sugegsted that I use more footage of the extreme close ups oif my main actress as these were very visually interesting and make the vuideo stand out from others that may be on the market. As a result I am conducting a second videoshoot with my main actress shortly. I will plan all the shots that I need to get for the music video, so that I can be more organised and precise than I was in my previous shoot.

Audience Feedback - Music Video First Draft

Megan: I like the video I think it’s very effective and eyecatching. I don’t think you actually need to ass an introduction, as I think itwould take away the fast, catchy feel of the song that makes it especiallysuccessful and make it too long. I think it will look even better once youremove the green screen, but maybe consider trying something different thatwould be more creative and visually interesting, such as using black and whiteor sepia, or adding effects and splashes in the background of the screen.

I have taken the idea of not just using a white screen into account and am going to think about different effects I could use that would fit with my video. I also found the comment about not needing an introduction very useful, as I was previously trying to think of introduction ideas. I then went and asked others who had watched my video if they thought it needed an introduction, where the majority said no, which has made a huge impact on my video and helped me very much as I can now focus on other aspects of my work.

Audience Feedback - Digipak Second Draft

Audience Feedback Form Tayla

Production Diary 08/02/12

Second Drafts Digipak and Magazine Advert

Front Cover

Second Page - Inside Left
I previously planned to feature a 'Thank You's' section on this page, however as a result of feedback from my teacher and target audience I decided to change it to a credits section. This is because a thank you section would be somewhat unsuitable for a band of this genre, and more suited to a pop artists with a younger target audience. I also changed the text to a red italic font as it adds
I kept the same font for 'Credits' as it keeps a sense of consistency throughout my product as I have used it for many other aspects in my digipak and magaizne advert.

Third Page - Inside Right With CD
The smashed camera lense will be the same seize as the CD, thus it will be placed exactly over the lense.

Back Cover

I added a barcode and the logo of the production company as this makes my product appear more realistic and professional

Magazine Advert

I have kept my advert on an A4 page, thus the actual size of a magazine page. I included existing magazine adverts, as my chosen band are not particulary famous and thus would not be able to afford to pay for an entire magazine page. I added the band website as this allows further promtion for the band and label.
